This book is about the 3 orphans go live in 667 Dark Avenue in the Squalor's penthouse featuring Jerome and Esme Squalor. At first they have fun with Jerome but not with Esme. So after having fun before they go to dinner they find out that there is going to be an auction and the auctioneer is Gunther who is Count Olaf in disguise so they try to tell the Squalors that Gunther is Count Olaf but they ignore them. So they go to dinner and Esme Squalor tells them not to come until Gunther leave. So the driver tells them not to leave because the doorman said that Gunther didn't leave. But Jerome and the Baudelaires ignore them and come upstairs. When they get upstairs and ask Esme if Gunther left she says he left a long time ago and the Baudelaire and Jerome get confuse. So the next morning the kids are left alone and try too look for Count Olaf but he wasn't nowhere so they find the Quagmire downstairs where Count Olaf hid them. So they try to help them escape but they don't

This book maybe my favorite Series Of Unfortunate Event so far. It is about the 3 orphans Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire who go and live in a village with so many rules in it. So the Baudelaires have to live with a nice handyman name Hector. When they keep receiving letters from Isadora and Duncan Quagmire. So they are hidden somewhere in the village and every note they get they don't get the puzzle. When they go to jail for being accuse of killing the fake Count Olaf Jaques by Detective Dupin (Count Olaf's disguise) with fake evidence. In jail they receive the last poem by Isadora they understand when she said the first initial contains the clue and the first initials were FOUNTAIN and they finally figure out that they are hidden in Fowl Fountain next to the jail. After using Violet's invention they break out of the jail and find the Quagmires in the Fowl Fountain. After being spotted by the Village Of Fowl Devotee they were almost going to be burn at stakes, But Hector builts a hot air mobile home for them to excape but Officer Louissiana uses her harpoon gun to shoot the mobile home but instead shoots the Quagmire noteboom full of the mysterious V.F.D, Count Olaf's plan and how to defeat Count Olaf. At last The Quagmire go live with Hector and the Baudelaires leave the Vile Village. While Count Olaf disguise has been founded out Esme Squalor who was Officer Louisianna take a motorcycle and ride out the Vile Village.

He make them live in a dirty place. There they meet Coount Olaf who he disguises himself as a gym teacher. He makes them run laps everyday. Count Olaf plan backfires again trying to get his hands on the Baudelaire fortune.
